Yesterday, Chinese Democracy finally came out (not including internet leaks), and Dr. Pepper had to live up to their free Dr. Pepper if the album came out this year… but not without a few snags.  I tried to get mine, but like many Americans it gave me the error message, “we are experiencing high traffic and are updating our servers…”  Yes, GNR fans crashed the site trying to get their Dr. Pepper.   Their toll free number was even jammed up for hours…  I didn’t get mine because I forgot to go back to the site til today when it was too late… wait, I meant to say that I didn’t get it because I’m on a diet and I only drink water.

The American Music Awards was yesterday, and a complete waste of my time.  In the “Pop/Rock” categories, not a singer rocker won.  Well, Daughtry did, but I now have a hard time classifying him as a rocker since he also won the “Adult Contemporary Artist” award.  In the only catagory semi-worthwild was “Alternative Rock Artist” which went to Linkin Park.

Right after Guns’n'Roses successfully sues a guy for putting Chinese Democracy on the internet, GNR turns right around… and puts Chinese Democracy on the internet.  The entire album in on their myspace page as their “launch” of the album. 

In related news, Paul McCartney is doing the exact same thing for his new album… but no one cares.

Yes, read that headline again… I know, you don’t believe it.  You’re not crazy, you’re not drunk.. ok, maybe you are, but Motorhead is in fact in a Disney Movie.  Their song “Dog Face Boy” is in Bolt which comes out on Friday staring John Travolta and Miley Cirus.  Hell has officially frozen over… and now I’m not too scared to go down there.

Today’s lesson from the Rock Report comes from Velvet Revolver… If you don’t have a lead singer, then you don’t have a record contract.  RCA just dropped their asses.

Brian May, from Queen, was on Chinese Democracy… that is WAS… past tense.  He made an apperence on a song to find out his part was removed from the final mix… OUCH!!

Marilyn Manson got his scary lookin’ ass dumped by actress Evan Rachel Wood.  It’s all because her brother was living with them.  Manson tried to kick the brother out, instead Wood kicked Manson out.
